Vox Duplicates Available for Pickup at Wednesday Meeting!

Hello,

Good news! Those who ordered duplicate Vox Awards can pick them up on Wednesday, Feb. 10 at the PRSA meeting. If you don't pick them up during the meeting, please contact Lynn Maples via email or at 901-273-2614 to make arrangements.

As for members who ordered duplicate Gold Vox certificates, these will not be available. We are currently in the process of getting more certificates made and will notify everyone via email of their availability.

I apologize for the tardiness in getting these awards to everyone. PRSA appreciates your membership and participation in Vox. We look forward to the 2010 competition which promises to be an exciting event.

PRSA Names Meri Armour Communicator of the Year Meri Armour (left) accepts the 2009 Communicator of the Year award from chapter president Ayoka Pond (right). The Memphis Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America named Meri Armour, president and CEO of Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center, as its 2009 Communicator of the Year. Armour was honored at the chapter's monthly luncheon Wednesday at the Fogelman Executive Center on the University of Memphis campus. STUDENT VOX AWARDS INFORMATION Sponsored by the Memphis Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the Student Vox competition provides students with an opportunity to submit their best work for recognition. The Student Vox competition is modeled after the professional Vox Awards, which honors outstanding work done by communications professionals. Student Vox Awards are judged by local Memphis PRSA professionals and are given to students presenting the highest caliber of work in various communications categories. Any public relations student may enter work from the classroom, internship, or academic/social organization. All work must have been produced and completed in 2009. Entry deadline is Thursday, March 25, 2010.
